Smith, John Blair 1756-1799

John Blair Smith was a presbyterian minister, he was licensed to preach at Tinkling Spring (1778), ordained 1779, President of Hampden-Sidney College, Virginia (1779-89), pastor of the Churches of Cumberland and Briery in Prince Edward County, Virginia (1780-91), pastor of the Third, or Pine Street, Presbyterian Church (1791-95), President of Union College (Schenectady, N.Y.) (1795-1799), and again pastor of the Third, or Pine Street, Presbyterian Church (May-August 1799).
