Green, Jacob 1722-1790

Jacob Green was born at Malden, Mass., January 22, 1722; graduated at Harvard college in 1744; was ordained at Hanover, N. J., in November 1746; was made vice-president of Princeton college in 1757; was a zealous patriot in Revolutionary times; published some works on church government, and died at Hanover, May 24, 1790. He was the father of Ashbel Green who had a distinguished career that included serving as president of Princeton College from 1812-1822.
