Martin, Samuel 1767-1845
Samuel Martin was licensed by the Presbytery of Baltimore, in May, 1793, and was soon after ordained and installed Pastor of the Congregation of Slate Ridge in York County, Pennsylvania. In addition to pastoring the congregation he also conducted a classical school. After five years, he accepted an additional call for the Congregation of Chanceford where he labored until 1812, when he moved to Rockville, Montgomery County, Maryland. After only 18 months he returned to Chanceford where he served until until within a few months of his decease.
