Tennent, William Jr. 1705-1777
Irish-born and Edinburgh-educated, William Tennent was a leading figure in early American Presbyterianism. His influence spread far and wide in the colonies, and Tennent educated a generation of leaders that shaped the denomination's remarkable growth on the eve of the American Revolution.
