Francis Taylor was sometime Rector of Chapham in the county of Surrey, near London and afterward Pastor of Yalding in Kent, and a member of the Westminster Assembly of Divines. He was a great Hebrew scholar and Talmudist, and the author of many commentaries and other practical and theological works. He was ejected in 1662 for non-conformity.
