Downame, George 1560-1634

George Downame (also Downham) (1560-1634) was a Doctor of Divinity, Lord Bishop of Derry, chaplain to James I and King James VI, and a brother of John Downame. His A Treatise of Justification, published in 1639, was his outstanding work.
